Hi Friends!
I turned in the manuscript for Toil and Trouble, or TNT, last month, and I’m awaiting edits and whatnot from my editor. I’m reallly excited to promote my book and ultimately bring it to you all in fall 2027!
TNT is a look at witches and the patriarchy in literature, full of snark and endnotes. I love it so much.
I do have a secret about this book, though. I found so much material, so many witches, that I couldn’t fit them all into one book! Imagine, surplus witches. What do to? Well, if TNT does well enough, a volume two might be in the future, but until then, I’m going to share these (mostly) ladies with you! My new SubStack is called Witch of the Week, and you can find the subscribe button at the beginning or end of this post.
Witch of the Week will not be weekly because, well, I’m busy, but Witch of the Month doesn’t have the same ring to it. It will always be witchy, though. There are two posts up as of this writing, and more to follow. In each substack, I’ll introduce you to a witch you probably don’t know, tell her story, and probably snarkily comment on how she was done wrong.
Come along on this fun, witchy journey with me! Let’s see how many witches we can highlight before Toil and Trouble comes out in time for Halloween next fall!
